Business Card Size in Pixels at 300 DPI

Understand standard US and European business card dimensions, pixels, bleed and safe areas before printing.

The correct business card pixel size depends on the physical card standard and whether the file includes bleed. At 300 DPI, a finished US card measuring 3.5 × 2 inches is 1050 × 600 pixels. A common file with 0.125-inch bleed on every side is 1125 × 675 pixels. European printers often use 85 × 55 mm, so always follow the printer’s own template.

Trim, bleed and safe area

Trim is the final cut size. Bleed extends colors and images beyond that cut so tiny alignment shifts do not leave white edges. The safe area sits inside the trim and protects names, phone numbers, logos and QR codes from being cut too closely. Keep essential content at least 0.125 inches or roughly 3 mm inside the trim unless your printer specifies otherwise.

How to do it in AI Business Cards Generator

  1. Choose a card template and enter your details.
  2. Keep important text and the QR code away from the outside edges.
  3. Preview the front and back at actual size.
  4. Export the design using the app’s high-resolution output.
  5. Confirm the required dimensions and bleed with your chosen print shop before ordering.

Do not enlarge a low-resolution logo inside a high-resolution file; the card can still look soft or pixelated. Use the clearest logo source available and inspect the exported proof at 100 percent.

Dimensions vary by region and printer, so the printer’s specification always wins. Continue with how to print from iPhone or review what information belongs on the card.
